picwork

Simple, transparent pricing

Post jobs, browse pilots, chat, and review previews — all free. We only charge when a pilot is hired.

Tieredplatform fee — gets cheaper at higher budgets
  • · 8% on the first $300
  • · 5% on $300 to $1,000
  • · 3% on anything above $1,000 — no cap

Examples: $200 job → $16. $500 job → $34. $1,000 job → $59. $2,000 job → $89. The fee is paid by the homeowner once a pilot accepts.

What you get

  • Verified pilots. Every pilot submits their CASA RePL / ARN and a photo ID. Admin-reviewed before they can accept jobs.
  • Watermarked preview gallery. Once the pilot uploads, you can review every shot in-app before anyone pays a cent to anyone.
  • HD release gating.Full-resolution originals and downloads are locked until the pilot confirms they've been paid. That removes the "pay first, hope for the best" problem.
  • Independent review on dispute. If something goes wrong, our team reviews the delivered work and the chat history and makes a call within 3 business days.
  • 72-hour auto-release.If the pilot confirms payment and the homeowner doesn't raise an issue inside 72 hours, the job closes automatically. Nobody waits forever.

How the money moves

  1. Homeowner posts a job with a budget. Free.
  2. Pilot accepts. Homeowner is asked to pay the tiered platform fee (above).
  3. Once the fee clears, the exact address is shared with the pilot and the job is locked in.
  4. Pilot flies, uploads. Previews go up in-app immediately — watermarked and downscaled for review only.
  5. Homeowner pays the pilot directly (bank transfer, PayID, whatever you both agree). picwork doesn't touch this money — only the platform fee comes through us.
  6. Pilot clicks “payment received”. HD originals and zip download unlock for the homeowner.

If something goes wrong

  • Homeowner unhappy with the work.Raise a dispute within 72 hours of the pilot releasing HD. Our team reviews the brief, the messages, and the delivered shots. If we side with you, we refund our platform fee. We don't hold the pilot pay, so any further refund is between you two — but the pilot's record on picwork will reflect the outcome.
  • Pilot takes payment then disappears. If the pilot never releases HD within 7 days of delivery, we auto-release to the homeowner and the pilot gets a warning on their profile. Repeat failures remove them from the platform.
  • Platform fee is non-refundable by default. We do the verification, hosting, and review work regardless of the outcome. Refunds only happen when we've reviewed a dispute and found in the homeowner's favour.
