Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of picwork (“the platform”, “we”). By creating an account you agree to them. This is a plain-English summary — if you need a formal document for your records, email hello@picwork.

1. What picwork is

picwork is a marketplace that connects homeowners with licensed drone pilots. We are not a party to the agreement between homeowner and pilot, and we do not handle payment for the pilot's work. We charge a platform fee for discovery, verification, preview hosting, HD-release gating, and dispute review.

2. Eligibility

  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • Pilots must hold a current CASA RePL or be operating under a valid excluded-category arrangement, and must supply licence + photo ID for verification.
  • Homeowners must have the authority (as owner or occupier) to permit aerial photography at the location they post.

3. Fees

  • The platform fee is tiered on the pilot pay, paid by the homeowner after a pilot accepts the job: 8% on the first $300, 5% on $300–$1,000, and 3% on anything above $1,000.
  • The fee is non-refundable except where our dispute review finds in the homeowner's favour.
  • We do not handle the payment from homeowner to pilot. That is between the two of you.

4. HD release + disputes

  • Full-resolution originals are gated until the pilot confirms payment received.
  • If a pilot does not release HD within 7 days of delivery, HD will be auto-released to the homeowner and the pilot's profile will show a warning.
  • Disputes may be raised within 72 hours of HD release via the in-app report button. We aim to review within 3 business days.

5. Your content

Pilots retain copyright in their images. Uploading to picwork grants the homeowner a licence to use the originals for personal or commercial purposes related to the property, and grants picwork a limited licence to host, thumbnail, watermark, and deliver the images as required by the platform.

6. Prohibited conduct

  • Arranging payment or subsequent bookings entirely off-platform to avoid the platform fee is a breach and may result in account suspension.
  • Sharing contact details in chat to circumvent the platform is discouraged and may be auto-redacted.
  • Flying in violation of CASA rules or any applicable local law will result in immediate removal.

7. No warranty

The platform is provided as-is. We do not guarantee continuous availability, image fidelity, or any particular outcome of a job beyond the dispute-review terms above.

8. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app and by email.
